Mary Ann Sorrentino, author of ABORTION—The A Word is a columnist for the Keene (NH) Sentinel, the Providence Phoenix and other newspapers. She was an Associated Press Award-winning radio talk host for thirteen years and the Executive Director of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island from 1977-1987.  She also writes regularly for Salon.com.
